During the tour, Prof. Dr. El-Araby emphasized the importance of strict adherence to energy consumption rationalization standards, stressing that field follow-up is a key factor in ensuring the success of this strategy. He highlighted the need for rapid and effective action in this area, referring to global statistics indicating that buildings and facilities account for approximately 34% of total global energy consumption, which places a significant responsibility on educational institutions to serve as role models in this transformation.
The Dean also affirmed the Faculty’s full support for the Egyptian state’s energy conservation plan, noting that the strategy is not limited to technical measures alone, but also includes a parallel path based on continuous awareness among students and staff and encouraging behavioral changes in the use of public resources to ensure their sustainability.
Prof. Dr. El-Araby was accompanied during the tour by Dr. Mohamed Gamal Qenawy, Secretary General of the Faculty, to follow up on the administrative and executive aspects of the rationalization process.
