The department aspires to excellence and leadership in teaching the Arabic language and literature locally, regionally and globally, thus contributing to shaping the identity of the Arab nation through active community participation.

The department seeks to provide distinguished education in the Arabic language and literature by benefiting from heritage and contemporary scientific and intellectual achievements

1- Enhancing the value of the Arabic language in the hearts of graduates.
2- Employing modern technologies in teaching the Arabic language and literature.
3- Exploring, developing and nurturing student creative talents.
4- Raising the level of graduates by establishing the concepts of integration with other scientific and humanities disciplines.
5- Working to shape culture and build personality through the noble values carried by the language, which deepens the spirit of belonging and pride in its cognitive heritage.
6- Achieving quality standards in providing academic programs.
7- Organizing seminars, conferences and competitions in order to use the language as a tool for scientific, cognitive and cultural communication

5. Automating communication with students and publishing the culture of ongoing education.
6. Developing research specializations of the Faculty members.
7. Developing the research labs at the department and adopting the concept of research centers and integrated cooperative research.
8. Developing training programs for the Faculty members and assistants to upgrade the work efficiency.
9. Completing and updating students' labs in all the departments of the Faculty.
