The faculty of Arts at Tanta University Organizes an Awareness Seminar on “Effective Crisis Management” to Promote Preventive Safety

The Faculty of Arts at Tanta University organized an awareness seminar today entitled “Effective Crisis Management: The Role of the Individual and the Responsibility of the Institution.” The seminar was held under the patronage of ProfMohamed Hussein, President of the University, and Prof. Ahmed Abada El-Araby, Dean of the Faculty. It was attended by Prof. Raafat Abdel Razek Abu El-Enein, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Attia Maraq, the Faculty's Student Activities Coordinator.

The seminar featured a lecture delivered by Prof. Ali El-Maghrbel, Director of the University's Crisis Management Unit. He discussed mechanisms for early risk prediction, identifying different types of crises, whether environmental, technological, or human-related, as well as reviewing procedures for responding directly to emergencies such as fires and earthquakes.

During his address, Prof. Ali El-Maghrbel emphasized the importance of shifting from a reactive approach, in which action is taken only after a disaster occurs, to proactive planning and enhanced institutional preparedness. This can be achieved through developing well-designed plans and providing regular training for staff to ensure the highest levels of safety for individuals and property.

At the conclusion of the seminar, an open discussion was held between Prof. Ali El-Maghrbel and the attending students, during which comprehensive practical recommendations were presented, focusing on promoting a culture of preventive safety. The event concluded with commemorative photographs.

It is worth noting that the seminar was jointly organized by the Faculty's Student Welfare Department and Public Relations Department, in cooperation with the “For Egypt” Student Family.
